German pv company REC has certifed the company's PV panels for use in floating arrays.
The supplier said test concur that REC units "can be working in floating solar installations regarding the same exacting standards... as on to rooftops or in ground-mounted installations".
It added that investors and as well users can rely on "long-term negative in these innovative (floating) projects with a half decent interesting potential for applications worldwide".
REC added that putting solar on to fresh water "makes sense" in locations land is limited.
"Various fresh water reservoirs are suitable: wastewater ponds at female treatment facilities and chemical veg, irrigation storage ponds at harvesting or vineyards, dam reservoirs and as well aquacultures, all largely available in practically all countries, " said REC.
Unorthodox racing added: "Solar installations on female surfaces are uncharted territory in addition to very few projects worldwide to function benchmarks. This gives investors and followers greater investment security, while and delivering substantial ecological benefits. "
