Solar panel technology Research Center Opens in Santiago de Chile

The Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft is going to be investing in a new solar research coronary heart in South America. The purpose of the newly founded Fraunhofer Chile Research Center for Solar panel technology Technologies (FCR-CSET) is to support the introduction of a sustainable solar economy located in Chile, with the assistance of Fraunhofer ISE's vast experience in the field. The main focus on FCR-CSET will be the production and depository of electricity and process thermal as well as water treatment using solar power. First projects are to gather quality radiation data for future power of sunshine plants and to monitor a recubrir process heat system installed going at a winery. "For many reasons, Chile definitely interesting location for solar energy, " explains Dr . Andreas Häberle, Manager of the Fraunhofer Chile Research Square for Solar Energy Technologies (FCR-CSET). "The country of Chile has the most global direct solar radiation exactly. At the same time, the Chilean climate different places high demands on the reliability to materials and components. " Fraunhofer ISE holds extensive expertise both in of these areas. Scientists at Fraunhofer ISE have been working on solar thermal as well as , concentrator applications for many years. On the party before the opening, a course of courses entitled "The Transformation of our Energy level System" has commenced. Every 8 weeks, a workshop will be held by which Chilean and international experts should be able to discuss specific themes of solar panel technology.
